While You Are Away

Riverdale Park Police Department offers a program to help residents keep an eye on their house while away on vacation.  Patrol officers will regularly check the property of residents who are registered for this program.  To request this service, please complete this form: http://www.riverdale-park.org/Misc/2010/RequestPoliceWatchHouseVacation.pdf  Completed forms may be dropped off at the Riverdale Park Police Department, 5004 Queensbury Road.  Please make sure to include in your request the names of individuals who are authorized to enter your house while you are away!

The Records Department is the central repository for all official reports generated from the Riverdale Park Police Department. The current year and last year's reports are kept in office while older reports are kept in archives. If you wish to request a copy of a report that is over a year, please call the department in advance to ensure that staff has adequate time to search for your request.

Report Request:

To request a copy of an accident or incident report you will need the case number. If you do not have the case number, please provide us with the date, time and location of the accident/incident. There is a $25 fee payable by cash or money order. Fees are waived for victims of a crime.

Flagging Release (MVA):

To receive a flagging release (VR-119) you will need to first pay your outstanding citation. Once your fine is paid in full there is an additional $25 fee (cash or money order) for the flagging release.

Credit Letter:

To request a credit letter to clear an outstanding account on your credit report you must first pay the outstanding citation. Once your fine is paid in full there is an additional $25 fee (cash or money order) for the credit letter.

If the registered owner is present:
Valid state issued Identification
Title or registration card (preferred)
$50.00 cash or money order

If the registered owner is not present, representative must have:
Notarized letter from registered owner including (see example below):
Registered owner's name
Vehicle Make, Model and VIN
Representative's full name and driver's license number
Representative's valid state issued Identification
Title or registration card (preferred)
$50.00 cash or money order

**If the impound is a recovered stolen vehicle, the $50.00 fee will be waived. **
